If you're solely responsible, you're a part of it. If you helped someone else, or gave them the idea, or kept a lookout for them - you're part of it. If somebody grabbed you on the way into the dining hall and told you to skip lunch that day and you kept your mouth shut, you were a part of it. Now, if you were peripherally involved in someone else's bullshit scheming, I'm not going to ask you to narc on them. I don't care who you helped, or protected, or whatever you might've done - they're not my problem. You are.
