I want to apologize to anybody I yelled at, threatened, punched, kicked, bit or shot at during the flood.

I mean you just apologized for shooting at people and you get your service revolver back. I haven't even slapped anyone and I don't get to keep my claws.

It was a flood. I was twelve. In the twenty years between now and then I've managed to get my shit together. [Mostly.]

It really seems a lot more fair than demoting me or taking my gun for something I had no control over, yeah.

Oh I wouldn't take your gun or your badge. But if you're allowed to shoot at me during floods, shouldn't I get a chance to defend myself or hide?

How does that follow? If I'd shot at you and you'd kicked my ass I would be writing you a thank-you note right now.

Right now, not much. I'm short an Inmate since my first assignment disappeared three weeks ago.

He was a heap of trouble. I don't know that 'nice' is the word, but it's the job I signed up for.

Good practice for the next one. I don't think you can have a tougher inmate than a god of mischief--or someone who pretends to be one.
